| Quiet Manor Horse Ranch is a small breeding operation run by Art and Nancy Owens just outside of Hempstead, Texas. We considered several breeds and deicded to raise Missouri Foxtrotters because they are known for their gentle disposition, sure-footedness and ability to work cattle. Now they are not as quick as a quarter horse but they were developed in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and Arkansas as a cattle working breed. We are members in good standing of the Missouri Foxtrotting Horse Breed Association and all our horses (brood mares and foals) are MFTHBA registered stock. We believe in imprinting and working with the foals when they are very young which helps in making them gentle and accepting of people. Give us a holler and come see our little herd!
